Adam turned 3 months old yesterday - how did that happen?!
I remember when he was born, thinking "Once they reach 3 months they get settled & are much easier, I just have to make it to 3 months..."
And before I could even catch my breath or count the days 'til 3 months, here we are! I am completely enamored with this little man, and also completely enamored with just about everything else in my life. I love my home, I love my darling monster of a little girl, I LOVE - so very much love - my hubby, and I particularly love my new size & the new pants I've had to buy to accomodate. :D
But back to my little guy. He is definitely easier now; we're working on the "settling" thing day by day. (I'm currently sitting here, listening to him cry, as we try a little tough-love to help him learn how to sleep better.) When well-rested & well-fed, he is just about the sweetest, cutest, biggest bucket of smiles I've seen. He did his first rolling, frontside to backside, at exactly one month & has continued working on that (he can now roll either to the right or the left). He's just starting to show interest in toys & trying to reach for things. He's a great eater, a good burper, a FANTASTIC pooper - dare I say that's his forte - and... an okay sleeper. :) Can't win 'em all, I suppose.
My favorite part? This kid is a major Momma's Boy. :D We could sit & smile at each other just about all day long, if given the opportunity. Luckily he loves the Bumbo & has been able to sit in it fine since about 6 weeks; he'll sit perfectly happy & watch me do whatever it is I need to do in the kitchen or elsewhere.
Overall, the transition from 1-to-2 has actually been easier for me than from 0-to-1. There's definitely hard things about having 2; but the dynamics of 2 are kinda great sometimes, being able to play with my kids & watching them interact so sweetly.
Like today, when I'd laid Adam on the couch so I could go grab my shoes from my room, and came back down the hall to find Emma carrying Adam around. She'd made it all the way past the fireplace before gently falling to the ground with Adam for a little breather. :) So sweet.
I'm pretty happy with the way things are shaping up in the land of Harmondom. Adam has brought so much sweet & simple joy to our family, I really can't imagine things without him. I guess we'll keep him. :)

of course you'll keep him! :) I told you boys are little sweethearts. I never thought I wanted one and now I've got 3! Crazy! I can't believe it's been 3 months already. Tate is already 6 weeks and I feel like I just left the hospital. Too bad we don't live closer, they could play t-ball together. :)
Oh he is so cute!!!
