quite a big deal! 

First things first: Emma wanted to have a blue, purple & pink doggie cake. ?? So, we went with these little diddies in the various colors:

 Birthday cake, check.

Pop a few of these in the backyard... (again, THANK YOU Grandma Joni!)

 

Add lots of neighborhood friends, plus some gorgeous November sunshine, and it makes one super-great afternoon!

 

Emma had some great family parties too, it was a great celebration of all things Emma!

(my mega-crafty friend Meghan made this adorable crown for Emma, along with a matching tutu skirt & hair bows. too cute for words.)

 One of Emma's favorite gifts is her new doll, Stella. (I suggested that name as a total joke, mostly to annoy Colby; Emma didn't quite pick up on the sarcasm.) It's a "Dollie & Me" doll, where you can buy matching clothes for your big girl. Oh man, if ever there was a toy made just for Emma!

 

Happy Birthday, my 4-year old little lady!!
