To start with, three cheers for our 4 - count 'em, 4! - finalists from Utah! I'd say the producers made a pretty good choice making a stop for auditions in Salt Lake. Out of those 4 my favorite is Chelsie - she's amazing, 'nuff said.
Tonight was a smashing start for the season! LOVED the Mia Michaels piece, as always; LOVED the Tyce Diorio piece, as always (and could Kherrington BE any more gorgeous?!); I so love Joshua & therefore loved his hip-hop number with Katee; and I actually liked Matt & Courtni's jazz number that the judges so heavily dissed. Worst of the night for me was the Tango & that Jive - there was just nothing "Jive" about it!
Overall, this season is offering up some dang-solid dancers - I already can't wait for next week!! Too bad Neal couldn't come back this year, he was nice to watch..... :) What does everyone else out there think about Round 1?

LO-UH-VED it! Ty and I are big fans! Thayne was my math friend my freshman year of college! That was right when we started dancing again. Does that make me famous by connection?
I recorded it but haven't watched it yet. You have definitely gotten me all excited though. I didn't know 4 were from Utah! I thought only Thayne. Which, is he the choreographer that I'm always hearing about from people in Utah? Maybe it's someone different...
When I was catching up on my past recordings I had thoughts about missing Neal too. I still wish he had won. Oh well. On to Season 4!
I am NEVER disappointed with Mia Michaels. She is hands down my favorite choreographer!!! I loved last night's dance, and I am stoked to see what next week brings!!!
Oh yes, and one more thing... I LOVED the hip hop choreography for Katee and Joshua. They knocked it out of the water! AWESOME!!!
I am so excited for the season. What an amazing first night. I haven't chosen a favorite yet because they are all so good. You have to choose a Utahn I guess. We make it a family affair my kids and husband get so reved up for the "Dance Show".
