Round 3 Ramblings

Okay, I know I'm a day late on this & we already know the results so it's a little pointless, but I'm gonna give you my thoughts anyway.

Week 3, quite a night! Other than a few weak points, the dances were soooo good! And a lot of really pleasant surprises from people out of their zones! So here we go:

1) Kherington & Twitch - LOVED it, Twitch of course blew the roof off & Kherington just rocks! I really love & appreciate that she didn't dance this hip-hop like a girl, she just danced it like a hip-hop & she danced it hard! Those two are seriously magnetic forces, can't resist 'em.

2) Courtney & Gev - (insert tiger growl that I can't think of how to type...) Hot hot hot!! They are so very much on my fave list. And is anyone else smitten with how smitten Gev is? haha So darling, again reminds me of Dom & that is a good thing.

3) Comfort & Chris - So, I generally agree with the judges. I didn't think it was entirely dismal, there were parts that they did a lot better than the judges gave them credit for. But, it definitely could've been better in someone else's hands. Just okay overall.

4) Jessica & Will - Well, I liked it pretty good. But... Will outdanced Jessica AGAIN. (BTW, I haven't really made mention of it before but he really is ASTOUNDING!) She's very good also, but there's still a little OOMPH missing from her, in my opinion.

5) Kourtni & Matt - LOL Awesome. Seriously wacked & cool. I've alwasy liked these two - they seriously OOZE technique - and it was great to see such crazy personalities come out! They smashed this one to pieces!

6) Chelsea & Thayne - It was good. I mean, nothing was really wrong with it technically, but there was nothing really spectacular about it either. That darn Quickstep, it's the kiss o' death... Just good this week.

7) Chelsi & Mark - Okay, so it perhaps wasn't the hip-hopiest hip-hop I've ever seen, but I frankly liked this one better the way they did it - plenty of pop, but not too hard. These two are so deep & reaching as dancers, so it doesn't really matter what the exact style is; as long as there's a story to tell & an emotion to dance, they'll dance it & they'll light it up just like they did with this one. They may just be the couple to beat, perhaps!

8) Katie & Joshua - So I totally thought, "Poor Joshua, this B-boy's never done Latin & he gets the hardest one! Eeek!" And again, he just tore it up! I love him beyond awesome - I mean, what business does a breaker have working his hips like that?! lol And Katie rocks the house as well, I like her more & more each week for sure. Wowza to both of them!!

And my thoughts on tonight's results: I've putting on my big "POO" face about Chelsea going & Comfort staying - I just didn't wanna have to put up with her for another week! As for Chris, I went into tonight thinking he should go & then changed my mind after the solos - I think it may have been Thayne's turn! But oh well, I think that a new pairing will make Thayne & Comfort automatically vulnerable this week, and combined with their track record of Thursday night solos, I think perhaps this next week will be their last.

But who knows? You never can tell what crazy things will happen under those many-colored lights. We'll just have to wait & see! Till next week.

*wow, this was a long post. To those who made it this far - don't you have anything better to do than read my late-night brain mud? Go to bed already!*

So, after reading your first post about the show I have to admit I got a little curious. So, last week I watched. Cool, but with your commentary as a dancer, so much better! Then I watched this week too, and really, I might be hooked! I certainly don't get the technical stuff being as uncoordinated as I am, but I just love the entertainment value! Anyway, just my 2 cents to add to the end of your novel (which I loved by the way!). I'll be checkin' back next week!
Love ya!
