This evening, we headed out to the annual Festival of Trees tonight with Grandma Joni & her sister Carron - and maybe I just haven't been to it for a while, but it seemed LOTS bigger than I remember! We barely made it through all the trees, and we definitely went well past Emma's bedtime. She was so good, though, she had a lot of fun running around looking at the trees; and when she got tired, she just sat in her stroller & enjoyed a video on my phone (once again, worth the money a million times over). Here are some of Emma's favorite trees:
(This is the mood she's usually in for pictures lately - saying "Cheese" like her life depends on it! But that's only if I can get her to look at the camera in the first place...)

The adorable Ice Cream Tree - Emma was quick to point out the "GIANT ICE CREAM!!!" that you see to the right of her head.

The Mickey Mouse Tree, an obvious favorite

I call this the Tonka Tree - it was surrounded by a bunch of Tonka dump trucks, diggers, etc. It even had a train going around the base of the tree, which was naturally Emma's favorite part. :)
And wouldn't you know! Not even the Festival of Trees can escape the Fandemonium! hehe Presenting,
the Twilight Tree!!!

There were actually a couple TwiTrees on display, but this one was hands-down the best.

(I love Emma's face here - "Oh no, not more of THIS..." I think Colby's been coaching her whenever he comes to visit.)

"A Cullen Christmas" - has a nice ring to it, don't ya think? Maybe I'll make a slight change to that classic song: (sing it, Bing) "I'm.......... dreaming....... of a Cullen...... Christmas!" hehe
The gingerbread houses were also adorable - I particularly liked this creation depicting "The Big Apple" & the grandeur of Times Square.

Taking a closer look at the miniature Times Square billboards... hehe

What?! Hey, I just showed up for the party, I didn't plan any of it. I can't be blamed if this thing is just taking over the entire WORLD, holiday festivities included!
Okay, I really don't know how it happened, but this too has evolved into yet another Twilight post. AHHH!! I can't control it anymore; at this point, I'm just a puppet on strings, people. I have zero dignity left - it's been all too willingly surrendered. *SIGH*
(In a last ditch effort to salvage this post) - Thanks for the fun & festive night, Grandma! If we keep it up, maybe it'll soak in & Emma will get a few more decorative tendencies than her mother has.... Really, any tendencies would be more than what I've got! haha She's got your genes somewhere in there, we just need to bring them to life. :)
