The other night Emma & I were reading books for bedtime; at the end of one of her many Care Bear books, we read about a wishing star in Care-a-lot & we made a wish on it - for "snow in the backyard." (Why specifically in the backyard, I don't know, but apparently it was important to Emma.)

Well, right on cue, the next day brought a nice blanket of the white stuff. And yes, there was plenty to be found in the backyard! I'm sure glad Grandma Joni brought over those new snow pants as an early Christmas present! :D (Also glad we're getting the matching coat for Christmas - the purple & pink combo is definitely a fashion-forward statement. :D)

Emma takes a moment to ponder the obvious question: Where did all this come from?

Mommy quickly clued her in to catching snowflakes on your tongue, and she took to it quickly.

We even got around to making a snowman - and I do mean "we." Emma did so great with bringing me big chunks of snow & smashing them on the different snowman sections to make them bigger. She seemed pretty happy with the end result:

So, the final verdict is: we are a pro-snow family - send some more, please!
