"My dear sweet Grandma Ashton passed away last night. Her health had been steadily declining for many months, and I know that everyone in my family is so happy for her now that she has gone home to Heavenly Father and been released from all her pain and loneliness. I always smile when I think of her reunion with Grandpa, after 8 brave years of separation--I think they have probably spent much of their time together since then just laughing and making each other happy.
My Grandma Ashton was a woman of exceptional joy--she was always able to look on the bright side of any situation and she worked hard to bring joy into the lives of everyone she was around. She seemed to put others first without even thinking about it and she embraced every opportunity to give service with a true feeling of selflessness. Grandma was talented, creative, organized, dilligent, very smart, and very funny. I will always be indebted to her for the greatest gift she could have possibly given me--my Mom. I rejoice whenever I see little bits of my Grandma shining through in my Mom, and I know that Grandma’s spirit will live on in her incredible daughter. I love you, Grandma."
Thank you so much Amy, that's just how we all feel. I can't add anything to improve your sentiments, so I'll simply say... We'll miss you, Grandma!

she sounds like one special lady kristen! isn't it lovely that we have the gospel to make times like this happy occasions? we miss our grandparents after they go, but it's so wonderful to know that they are in a better place with those who love them. :)
