"A Be Funny!"

This is what Emma tells me when I talk about something we're gonna do or see: "A Be Funny!" (It'll be funny!) It made more sense in it's original version, "a be fun", but now she's decided that being funny is better than just being fun. :) So, here are a few random examples of Emma "be funny!"

Hiding out in the tire tower at Costco...
And then climbing back out! Of course - what else would she do, just stay in there & wait for help like some damsel-in-distress? Not really Emma's style.

Having some hot cocoa after finishing our shoveling - pics & video of that coming later because it is just terrific!
Once again, I cannot get a normal smile from this girl!

This next bit continues to be my favorite recent Emma-story:

One morning I was sitting at the kitchen table reading while Emma ran back and forth between the kitchen & the family room; I wasn't really paying attention to what she was doing. All of a sudden she starts yelling, "A Care Bears go?!" (Where'd Care Bears go?) She's holding her hands up to her mouth like she does when she's looking for someone/something, and just standing there calling for them.
She runs down the hall to retrieve Grandma & ask her, "A Care Bears go?" Grandma follows her back to the kitchen & we're both just watching Emma, telling her "We don't know where the Care Bears went, are they in their basket?"

Once she has our rapt attention, she walks over the the cupboard next to the sink, and opens the door to reveal...
her Care Bears!! She'd been stashing them in there while I was reading & then set the stage for her little "Lost Care Bears" drama - she totally played us!! And was quite pleased with her little deception: she laughed so hard at how hard we were laughing!
That was a fun morning. Those sneaky little Care Bears!

I've got lots of great Christmas goodies lined up - those are coming soon! Relatively soon. ;)
