"Daddy not in DC anymore!!"

That's right Emma - Daddy is home to STAY!! Colby flew in last night for the last time, having finished his job with the Dept. of Justice. Three cheers & hallelujah, can I get an AMEN?!

This has actually been a great experience for us - especially for Colby, who loved every minute of his awesome job. He made some great new friends, lost over 30 lbs (& still going!!), and perfected his packing skills with each trip to Salt Lake & back.

And we all learned the wisdom behind a tried & true saying: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I know I've learned a lot about letting the little things go - helping myself focus on the countless positive things about Colby & our relationship, rather than honing in on the negatives that I could now care less about. Somehow, in the months of being thousands of miles apart, we changed & grew as much (I think) as we've previously done over years of marriage.

And I know, a month from now when life's back to normal, I might just be singing my same old tune again... but I don't think so.

Welcome back, Daddy!!! Now, to get you a new job.... ;)
