trimming & pinching

I finally did it!

No, not THAT. Honestly, where do you people come up with this stuff...

I finally took my kids in for haircuts! Since it'd been over a year since Emma's last visit, and Adam's been working hard growing his mullet since his 2-month trim - we were decidedly overdue.

Adam, the car man. Honestly, this kid already has a ridiculous preference for cars. You give him a toy car, and he totally understands to put wheels down on the ground, and cruise it around the house. Such. A. Boy.

But I digress ~ No more little wings over Adam's ears, no more bangs constantly in Emma's eyes & just in general going every which way. They both look so darn spiffy now!!

I didn't really get a shot of Emma getting trimmed, but here's her adorable 'do afterward! So sad, its the only time Emma has a cute girly hairdo - when I'm paying someone else to do it. LOL

My other update for the day is this, Adam's new obsession:

Doors. No, scratch that - anything that swings/pulls/hinges open & closed. Lets just briefly list everything in the average house that this includes:
Doors, clearly
Cabinets
Drawers
Toilets
Doors
Dishwasher
Oven
Fridge
Closets
Did I mention doors?

In the above picture, he'd been sitting there swinging the door open and closed for like 30 minutes straight. At some point, he'd swing too far and totally close the door. Then he recruit me (see: screaming in my face whilst smacking me) to open the door for him so he could keep playing - until he closed it again, that is. Fun game, dude! And he only pinched his fingers like 4 times during that 30 minutes! Haha

I spend ALL DAY kissing head bonks and squished fingers, only to have him go off in the direction of another injury-prone item. Ahhh, early childhood discovery. Priceless.

I finally caved a few months ago and gave Jonathan his first haircut. I just loved the curls too much. And Tyler had his first hair cut at 2 months old. He was born with an inch plus of jet black hair all over his head. It was crazy!

I need to get my boys a haircut as well, but maybe I am putting it off until school...the only place I am really embarrassed about them is at church, but hey...that is only one day a week, right? I love Emma's girlie hair each Sunday. What do you mean you don't do her hair? I love reading your expressive writing. Sure you didn't want to be a writer? You have the talent.

I hope you don't mind me hoarding in on your blog.

LOL Rox, I certainly don't mind at all - getting comments makes my day! Much of my blogging is just me trolling for compliments, highly pathetic. :)

(Look at me, I'm hoarding in, too!) E used to spend hours in front of the door. Open, close, open, close... maybe it's a boy thing.

If it's something Adam does, then it's a boy thing - 'cuz this kid is ALL BOY!!!!
