Here are just a few of the crazy things that Emma has been doing lately:
Crawling into her laundry basket in order to pull the clothes out & drag them all over the house.

Grabbing the Cheerios off the corner when Mommy's not looking, and reflooring the kitchen (My favorite part of this picture is the little mischievous smile that she's trying to hide behind the box. Sorry Emma, you're not fooling anyone!)

This is Emma in her brand-new, big girl car seat...

...and this is about 4 seconds later when she's already weaseled her arms out of the straps. Yay.

I swear, this girl can generate trouble faster than I can wonder what trouble she's going to generate! Of course, there are a few good things that help to balance out the madness. The very best one - snuggles! I've taught her to "give Mommy a snuggle", where she lays her head down & holds still for about 4 seconds. It's the best 4 seconds of my day, I tell ya!

Today brought another wonderful new trick: I've been trying to teach her to give me kisses, but so far she just blows me a kiss. Well today, in line at Steve & Barry's, Emma was hanging out in the shopping basket, as usual. I leaned forward and said, "Can you give Mommy a kiss?" Lo & behold, she opens her mouth wide, leans in & plants a big, wet "O" kiss right on my cheek! And then, when I requested another one, she did it again! She really can be such a tender little bundle when she forgets that she's a monkey.
Last but not least, I LOVE all her beautiful hair that is quickly filling in. Especially when we add a dash of mousse for lift & curl, she becomes a brand-new baby!
I guess, all things weighed, I'll take the bad with the good. Emma, give me a quick snuggle & a blowfish kiss, and you can get away with just about anything!

i miss hearing all these classic emma tales. what in the world are you going to do about the arms coming out of the car seat? that's a real winner of a trick!
Delurking because I have a helpful hint about the car seat. Moving the chest buckle up (around her armpit area) and then making sure there's no more than a finger's width between her shoulder and the strap (or making sure you can't pinch a fold in the strap material) should help lessen the chances that she can get out. Hope that helps with your little Houdini! :) I can't remember how I found you....but your little Emma is a cutie! :)
