Emma loves her cousin Jackson. Truly & deeply.
The other day Colby was waking her up from her nap so she could play with Grandma Joni for a little bit, and she was so incredibly sad to be woken up. She was just crying & moaning; so Colby said, "Were you having a good dream?"
To which Emma replied, "Jacksie house."
"You were having a dream about Jacksie's house?"
*sniff sniff* "Yeah."
LOL! She honestly talks about him all day long; whenever I tell her we're going in the car she squeals & says "Jacksie house!" And anytime she hears someone walk in the door she yells "Jacksie!" and runs to greet whomever it is, only to be frequently disappointed that it's not him. *sigh*
So here are some of their latest adventures together:
Playing in Grandma & Grandpa's shower - between the shower & their bed, these two could play contentedly in Gma & Gpa's room for hours.

On a wagon ride at Wheeler Farm, sharing Grandma's lap. (Grandma's also pretty happy when she gets to play with these two - with the three together, it's the trifecta of playtime happiness!)

Grandma Joni delivered yet another hit with this little inflatable water toy. It's just intended to hold little boats that the children push around, but it didn't take long for THIS to happen. It began with Emma's brilliant idea to practice putting her face in the water (see our
Liberty Park post), and ended in two happily soaked kiddos. (We took this picture & then got them out of their clothes and into swim dipes - but since I suppose Emma's a little too old to be galavanting nakey on our blog, I'll just leave it at this photo.)

Honestly, I don't think these two are really getting the "cousin" factor in all this - I'm pretty sure they're just plain ole' smitten with each other. Watch out, Jacksie, she's a known heartbreaker! :)
