Talk-a-no

Since I haven't posted anything about sweet little Emma in over 3 weeks (yikes!), I thought I'd share with you her latest hilarity.

Emma learns about 5 new words a day, and she puts them all to very good use. She says Please, Thank You, and Sorry - all at the appropriate times - and she spends good chunks of the day rambling to herself in jibberish I don't fully understand yet. But we have started to notice a trend in her speaking...

A few weeks ago, she began calling her cousin Tommy: "Tah-no" (upgraded from the previous version of "Taaah")
Next came her version of Aunt Brooklyn: "Brook-a-no"
Then, Sunday morning, she came up with her word for the pancake she was eating: "Pack-a-no"
Yesterday at dinner Colby correctly guessed what her word for broccoli would be: "Broc-a-no"
And finally, today as we were sitting on the floor rocking, that became: "Rock-a-no"

????? Odd much? We're trying to brainstorm what language this might be a trademark of, so that we can properly identify her origins & send her back home. :) Just kidding Emma, we love you & all your inexplicable strangeness!!
