Emma's 2nd Birthday!!!

What a fun day we had! Emma was so enthusiastic all day long; she totally knew it was her birthday & that meant it was a special day just for her. She loved singing the birthday song to herself & loved it twice as much when someone else would sing it to her - she'd just giggle & squeal with delight whenever we'd start singing it!

We had a great family party with so many great presents (thank you everyone!), a yummy dinner of Emma's choosing, "patsa" (the delish penne pasta that we all couldn't live without), and a birthday cake that Emma's been talking about for weeks - a "RAINBOW CAKE!" (She honestly told me weeks ago that for her birthday cake she wanted a "rainbow cake." I have no idea where the inspiration for this came from, but she really meant it because she has stuck to it the whole time. )

Emma, we can't believe what a big girl you are! You grow every day & learn new things by the minute; you're hands down the smartest little toddler I have ever seen. We can't wait to see what the next year brings - we love you so much!!!
