And for today's post - another newsflash from my hubby (like I said, I'd know nothing without him :D), this time about the best reason for watching Red Sox games...

My lil' man, Dustin Pedroia! Last year, he won the AL Rookie of the Year (of course, because he is awesome). And this year, he won the AL MVP Award!! Two years in the majors, and he's already got those titles under his belt? That just plain rocks, folks.

He's only the third player in baseball history to win the Rookie of the Year & MVP in consecutive years, and the first 2nd baseman to win MVP since 1959. AAAAAAND, this year he also won Gold Glove & Silver Slugger awards. Basically, he mopped the floor with the rest of 'em. Or the field, I suppose.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to claim that Dusty isn't the only reason I love baseball so much.... :D hehe
