Was that really necessary?

I know life isn't always fair & I certainly have what qualifies as an "easy life." But c'mon Life... was that really necessary?!

So I had to take Colby to the airport tonight for his flight home - and this time we won't see him again all the way until Christmas! Pardon my French, but that's just CRAPPY!!

That's depressing enough as is - did we really need to add my car breaking down just as I pull away from the curb?? I hear a big POP & then (as I continue driving, thinking I've just run over a rock or something) hear a recurring popping, accompanied of course by a burning scent. Yeah, I pulled right back over.

2 hours later I'm home & fearing that when Firestone (the lucky host of my poor car this evening) takes a look at things tomorrow, my dad's theory is gonna be right: our timing belt's gone snap-phooie. And, while being expensive to simply replace a timing belt before it breaks, it will be IMMENSELY more expensive to repair it once broken. I just hope I don't have to sell any bodily organs to pay for it...

All I have to say now is, Rude Rude RUDE!!! Life, couldn't that just have waited until tomorrow? Apparently not.
