We finally did it - we chopped off the mullet! For months now, the hair at the base of Emma's neck has been getting longer & longer (I think the final length was around 6 1/2 inches) - and it was in sharp contrast to the area immediately above it that was only about an inch & a half long (that's where her bald spot was as a baby & it's still playing catchup to everything else).
It looked SO ridiculous & I couldn't stand it any more, so we went over to Grandma Joni's shop & had her whack it off! And I LOVE it, it looks so much better! No more crazy mullet-hair that I have to keep curling around my finger to get it to look shorter. :)
I think that maybe Emma likes it, too.
